In 2006, Tim Ferris helped me believe that hiring virtual assistants was possible for the solo entrepreneur (aka solopreneur). I tucked that idea away until about early-mid 2010, when I had my small call center selling telecommunication services. I remember thinking more about how I could utilize virtual assistants to help me generate sales. That never came to fruition. I ended up selling off the remains of the business in November 2010.
And then, in November 2012, when I made my first dropship sale, I knew it was time to start utilizing virtual assistants from the Philippines. By 2012, I was pretty computer savvy. I learned how to build and repair computers. I learned how to network computers and computer servers. And I kept myself informed with the latest productivity software. Software that was making online work collaboration much, much easier, faster and accessible to workers all over the globe.
On November 27, 2018, I activated my EasyOutsource.com account. EasyOutsource connects Filipino workers with international employers. At that time, I still didn’t know what I was hiring for. I just knew that I was going to leverage the lower market wage rates in the Philippines to leverage my knowledge and time with the goal of growing a profitable business.
